There're way too many lakes in NZ which offer stunning views. Out of those, there're a few claiming to be mirror lakes. By saying that, it basically means near-to-perfect reflection can be observed with requirement of very still surface water. Throughout the trip, there's renowned mirror lake which disappointed us, but there's also obscure spot by the roadside which I name it "The True Mirror".
Spending an hour of unpaved road scenic drive though Matukituki Valley, the entry of Rob Roy Glacier Track lies ahead. Here's another beautiful track that I would recommend for those having a day or two in Wanaka. Slightly physical demanding, this to-and-fro 4-hour track led us into Mount Aspiring National Park to witness the stunning view of hanging glacier. This shot was taken along Rob Roy Stream while we stumbled upon this beautiful spot halfway of the track.
